The Bison Display Farm in Pszczyna
Distance: 26.4 km
In the late 1990s, the Pszczyna Commune and the Development and Promotion Agency of the Pszczyna Region jointly undertook efforts to create the Bison Display Farm in the Pszczyna Castle Park, within the area known as the Wild Promenade. The idea behind establishing this new tourist attraction was to showcase the biological diversity of the former Pszczyna Forest, now the Pszczyna Forests, owned by successive ruling families in Pszczyna since 1336. An additional, crucial aspect was to create an additional breeding centre for lowland bisons, specifically the Pszczyna subline.
